Cask Ale

The Bird In Hand is proud to say it's a free house, this enables us to rotate our Ales as we please. We generally have two or three pumps running at one time.

Brimstage is our local brewery in the heart of the Wirral countryside and happens to be our most popular. They produce one Ale in particular called Trappers Hat that is absolutely fantastic. It is rare if Trappers Hat isn't on one of our taps. Sandpiper is also very popular but is a rotational ale as is Scarecrow and Rhode Island.

We are very lucky located in Cheshire because we have got some very high quality brewery's on our door step, for instance Weetwood and Peerless who all produce several very good ales.

We only want the best ale here at The Bird so if we are to keep that up and rotate the ales regularly we do have to go further a field. Salopian Brewery is Located in Shropshire and produces some very quirky and unique ales.

Purple moose is a Welsh Brewery in Snowdonia and has received many awards for their range of ales over the years from their pale session ale Snowdonia to their Dark winter ale Dark side of the moose.

We have now gone as far as Devon to get some of the best ale in the country from Otter brewery. They have got three constant ales Otter Bitter, Amber and Ale but also produce some fantastic seasonal Ales.

The best thing about our well kept and thoughtfully sourced Ale, is that it's all £3.00 a Pint.
